He then completed his residency in Anesthesiology at John H. Stroger hospital in Chicago, Illinois, prior to proceeding with his fellowship. Dr. Ghalambor founded the Interventional Pain Management department at Quincy Medical Group in Quincy, Illinois, in 2008. He then relocated to Effingham, Illinois, in 2010 to serve as the Medical Director and practice at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital Center for Interventional Pain Management until he moved to Texas in 2016.
Dr. Ghalambor is board certified in Anesthesiology and holds subspecialty certification in Pain Management from the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a fellow in Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) from the World Institute of Pain. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians (DABIPP) and has served as an examiner for the American Society of Pain Physicians (ASIPP).
Furthermore, he is board certified by the American Board of Pain Management. Other than common interventions for pain conditions, such as epidural steroid injections, peripheral and spine joint injections, and radiofrequency rhizotomies, Dr. Ghalambor is highly experienced in cutting edge interventions such as discography and disc treatments, spinal cord stimulator trial and implants, kyphoplasty, as well as stem cell therapies. He is also offering revolutionary Minimally Invasive Endoscopic Transforaminal Discectomy and Foraminoplasty in cases that do not respond to other treatment modalities. Dr. Ghalambor believes in identifying and then eliminated the "source" of pain with the least invasive techniques possible, to accelerate return to function, decrease suffering, and minimize the need for narcotics to "mask the pain". Dr. Ghalambor recommends a "multimodality" approach using Holistic Care and Physical Medicine in conjunction with injections and possible medications for optimal results.
Dr. Ghalambor has three children and currently lives in Frisco, TX.
